What is Remo Code?
Remo Code is a web app that lets you chat with your Claude Code CLI sessions remotely from any browser or phone. You install a lightweight channel plugin in each Claude Code session, and it connects to the Remo Code hub so you can send messages and get responses from anywhere.
Does Remo Code require my Anthropic API key?
No. Remo Code never touches your Anthropic API key, billing, or source code. Claude Code runs locally on your machine with your existing subscription. We simply relay chat messages between your browser and your local sessions.
Is my code safe?
Yes. Your source code never leaves your machine. Remo Code only relays the text messages you type and the text responses Claude sends back. File reads, edits, and all code operations happen locally through Claude Code. We have no access to your filesystem.
What happens if the connection drops?
The channel plugin auto-reconnects with exponential backoff. Claude Code continues running normally on your machine regardless of the connection state.
Can I self-host Remo Code?
Not yet, but self-hosting is on the roadmap. The hub server is designed to be self-hostable with Docker. Stay tuned.
